Job 36-37 - Matthew 15:1-2

Elihu continues to teach Job and talks about God’s power throughout both chapters. He uses several metaphors to describe his words. In Matthew some Pharisees came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked Jesus why his disciples do not wash their hands before they eat? Jesus talked in a parable that he then had to explain. Jesus told them that what we put into our bodies with unclean hands does not make us unclean. What comes out of our body makes us unclean. Jesus told them that everything that comes from the mouth come from the heart and those things are evil thoughts such as murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, slander, etc.
