Day 129 --- 2 Samuel 3-5 - John 1:1-28

The war between the house of Saul and the house of David lasted a long time. David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.
Joab murders Abner because Abner had killed his brothe rin the battle of Gideon. David became king of Israel and conquered the Phillistines while taking over Jerusalem.

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.
